Phone Photos to PC

I hope someone, somewhere can help me.

Please can someone tell me how I can take photos on my phone and they be available on my pc so I can file them away (and then they disappear up to the cloud).

I would like to use Google Drive and if possible can it be kept simple !!

All I want to do is transfer photos from phone to pc.

I previously had Dropbox on both but that insisted on backing up 3500+ photos from my pc which was the last thing I wanted !!

I hope this makes sense !! If not please ask !!

EDIT - After having a quick look, is it Google Photos that I need rather than Drive ??

connect with a lead, copy and paste

then if you wish, and have no privacy or security concerns, copy them to your preferred cloud storage provider.

I would like to do it automatically without the need for a usb lead if possible.

I have a Jiayu S3 Advanced Android phone and my whole PC has been backed-up to the Knowhow Cloud.

Just use 'GOOGLE PHOTOS' App. They upload to the FREE google cloud automatically, view on PC instantly thru your Google account. From there you can download them to the PC hard drive

i haven't found a totally automatic setup for transferring photos from phones/tablets > pc and deleting from phone

all my media is on a nas server and i have google photos and dropbox dealing with camera roll from tablets and phones. i have google backup on pc pointing to nas for any photos that are copied to pc direct from other sources

i can download from google photos on pc or copy and paste from dropbox/google drive to nas but then i still have to delete photos from phone. so i still find it easier to plug phone/tablet into pc and cut and paste media to nas

i thought that the 'also copy media to...' feature in google backup on pc would be handy to send media from devices automatically to nas but that doesn't allow you to send photos to one folder and videos to another and you would still have to delete from phone.

anyone got a perfect setup?
