PPI claim for a partnership

Options
Hi,
I need help in finding out about the PPI claimed by my husbands partner in business. The partner claimed PPI from the business for the past 10 years, whereas they have only had full ownership of the business for 2 years. My husband contributed to working for the business and paying payments. However my husband now lives abroad and the partner claimed all of the PPI which came to the sum of 28,000.
The partner also created a legal document stating that they have no financial interests in the business. This was because there were two businesses and the partner and my husband decided to have one each.
How much PPI is my husband entitled to? If any at all?
We are also concerned about the company that paid the £28,000 in to the joint bank account without the signature of my husband even though they were paying PPI for the past 10 year(8 year of which the business was in my husbands name). Should we complain about this and if so how can we do so?
thank you in advance for any help!

Sorry can't really make sense of this, who did the PPI cover was it your husband or the partner or both?

What was it to cover, were there any loans?

Are you saying that you used to own the business now someone else does?

Well, the refund would be paid into the business and should be split as per CURRENT business agreements

If he had nothing to do with the business at the point of complaint then nothing.

But you indicate your husband has nothing to do with the business any more. So, why would they want his signature?
