Both, one joint, and one sole each, making three accounts and £6000.
You can also each put away a further £250 each month into TSB Regular Savers, also at 5%. Also look at Club Lloyds for £5000 plus £400 a month at 4% (times three accounts for a couple), 3% accounts with Bank of Scotland and Tesco (no fees), and the 6% Regular Savers.Eco Miser

The ISA limit is £15,240 a year, so if a super duper loss leader dream ISA appeared from a kamikaze Icelandic bank, you can plough it straight back into an ISA.0 -
Got a similar issue myself.
£50k maturing in a fixed rate cash ISA in October needing a new home. Historically I've always reinvested in a new fixed rate deal, but rates are so poor I don't see the point. Current thoughts are:- £15k to top up my 123 account to £20k
- top up P2P investments by £10k
- Use the remaining £25k to offset the effects of a salary sacrifice into my pension.

Remember that once withdrawn, that ISA cash will lose it's tax free status forever-you can't put it back in, except as part of the current year's allowance. No free lunch, and no free laptop
