Made redundant ... Starting new job

I will be made redundant on the 30th of this month, I've had my consultancy and know my redundancy package but not sure exactly how it works. I get paid last Friday of every month currently and that's a couple of days before I finish with my current employer. will I get my redundancy pay in with my final pay and my p45 or are they allowed to wait until the following month to pay me?
I have found a new job and they are kind enough to start me on 2nd September so not having to mess around with my current employer jeopardising my redundancy package or having to pay extra tax running two jobs at once.
I need my p45 as soon as really to pass on to my new employer. I am employed in a retail outlet concession but HR is based in London and I've never dealt with them so thinking it might be a good idea to give them a ring to discuss most importantly my p45.
Sorry for waffling I've never been in this position before are they more likely to pay out quickly or do they drag things out.
Thankyou

You don't pay extra tax on two jobs.
They can delay the payments if they want and may or may not include it as part of a PAYE run. only those that have been made redundant by that company can tell you what they did last time(might be different this time).
Have you been put on notice to terminate the contract?
Unless you a re 100% sure they won't withdraw the redundacy(they can do this right upto your last day even if on notice)do not give them wind of the new job just let things run.
(unless able to give counternotice this has special timings)
You don't need a p45 you can use new starter(P46) and give it to them when you get it.0 -
P46 will be fine
Last 3 jobs I have had, I completed one of these as P45 was sent in the post often weeks later.
Good Luck in your new role.0
