Can a CCJ be re-added to your credit report when you settle it?

I have an old CCJ that has fallen off my credit report due to it being over 6 years old. I am chipping away at it with £10 a month, and am using a snowball plan to clear off all my little debts, and this one is in that plan and will be cleared around mid next year.
I have been reading up on credit reports and improving score and came across a post where someone said that the CCJ will re-appear if you settle it and be there for another 6 years as 'settled' which I'm sure would still be a negative thing.
Help?
