I have applied for a natwest credit card after being turned down quite a few times from different providers beacuse I have two CCJs. I have been banking with natwest for six years and have a overdaft with them for £650 and also have £850 after tax and rent payed into that account. Whats my chances getting a credir card with them? Will they look into my account or just do a credit check? Would I be more successful if In take all the protection plans out with then too? Hope you can help. Thanks

I would imagine that they would be able to tell you immediately if you were successful or not.
IMO those CCJ 's will stop you getting any credit - when did you get them?0 -
About 3 years ago.0

In that case you have a minimum of 3 years to go until they drop off your files.
I don't think you will get a card until then.0 -

No. These plans will not increase anyone's chances of acceptance. They are completely separate products and have no bearing on the bank's decision to lend.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

As you have let your creditors down in the past and bearing in mind you have an overdraft facility would it not be better stay away from credit cards at this moment in time. However if you really feel unfilled because you don't have this product you could always go for a prepayment credit card. I understand Capital One and Barclaycard supply these cards.0
