Parking Eye PCN
MolesRule
Hi All
I have received a PCN from Parking Eye relating to the Marriott Hotel in Swansea, offence date 1/08/15 issue date 6/08/15. I have followed the Newbies advice and am about to send the draft appeal letter to get the POPLA number.
Just wanted a bit of reassurance that this is correct and there is nothing else I need to be doing before sending or while waiting for a reply.
Many Thanks

Contact the Marriott Hotel. Were you a legitimate guest/customer?Je Suis Cecil.0

I did eat and drink there, but dont have a receipt. Used it as a base for a walk with two small kids on the beach. must have got back late but dont even have the ticket to check!0

Is there a template letter suggested for contacting the Marriott in this case, how would I construct this as the keeper of the vehicle?0

Just write to them and say you were a legitimate customer, give them the details, dates, times, no need to mention drivers or anything.
Tell them you're disappointed to have received a ticket despite being a customer and ask them what they can do to help you.
There's no template, just send them a firm but polite letter.
In the meantime, follow the advice in the NEWBIES thread for your appeal to PE.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
How did you pay for the food and drink? Cash or card? If card then you have proof of patronage. Just phone the Marriott and ask for their complaints email address, and tell them why. (Tell them the PCN reference).
Regardless add an appeal point to PE ...
x) The driver was a customer of the Marriott at the time in question but was not made aware of any special parking requirements at the time (e.g. entering vehicle registration into the hotel's machine). Please find attached evidence of patronage.
(Include a redacted copy of your card transaction showing the payment. If you don't have anything then delete the blue text).0
