Bank Removing 'Black Marks' - How Long?

Does anyone have any experience with a bank/lender agreeing to remove historical 'black marks' (such as a late payment, default, or an payment arrangement) from their credit file?
How long did it take from the point the bank agreed to the point the file looked clear?
Thank you

Would or should usually be done in the next scheduled monthly update.
Can be done overnight or within 24hrs if they decide to do a 'rapid update', but as I think that costs them they are usually reluctant to do that.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
