Sorry I didn't get a notification of the replies and we have been moving house.
We had an appointment at the job centre as a follow up to the income Support claim and they also said something about adding hubby to my claim on esa instead of going on his income support claim but they didn't actually change it just carried on with the claim as laid out..
Originally I was thinking of claiming the carers allowance when esa ran out as didn't realise the claim would stay open. Don't know why I thought that tbh but the benefits thing is new to us. My last job was for 14 years since graduation and hubby's 11 years.

Anyway, my youngest is undergoing autism assessment at the moment and his dla renews in February so I suppose it's possible his dla may increase. I suspect his award should have been more first time and I should have asked for a reconsideration but things are so hectic with two high needs kids and at the time a hubby who worked between 37 and 49 hours a week.

I'm not sure what the outcome will be after any eventual medical assessment tbh. My own gp was pessimistic about esa awards and mental health problems so it didn't fill me with hope tbh. :-/

As for whether I feel ready for work. I'm keeping my head just above water at the moment with not working. I think trying to work too would be detrimental. To be honest, I think hubby going back to work will be difficult as it's helped loads having him off the past few weeks to help with the kids especially with it being summer holidays.

Our house move tho means we are better financially as we have moved in with my mil and the equity from our sale is going towards building a granny annex for her. So we'll be mortgage free / rent free (albeit with lots of works needing to be done to the house, which we'll save money to do). The theory is the lifestyle will be better for all of us, reducing stress and maybe I will get better. I had 7 months of therapy privately before being made redundant and am still on a high dose of anti depressants which I don't want to be on forever but can't see other options as we get no real help with the kids which if I'm honest is the worst contributer to my stress/depression. :-(

We had another letter today saying it will stop, and saying about claiming income related (which we cant do ) but still no sign of any assesment.
The thing that annoys me is there is not a thing in these letters that say anything about waiting for assesment.
I dont think there is any doubt he will be in the support group. this time frame is just silly. his pip took 51 weeks this looks like it will exceed that!
