I'm not going to go through every point you just made but your lack of knowledge and awareness regarding the care of disabled children is astonishing.
But again it depends on the disability and the child involved some need more care than others.Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0 -

I don't think it's a lack of knowledge or awareness. I think it's something much nastier than that.
Personally I think if somebody is going to be reliant on benefits all their life the least the government can do is to provide a comfortable lifestyle.0 -

Not sure how you concluded from what I have written that I disagree with the above. But as always, posts are being distorted to imply that horrible things have been said. As it is, I agree fully with the above, nothing that I wrote suggest otherwise.0 -

It rather depends on why you're reliant on benefits all your life and what you mean by a comfortable lifestyle.0 -
I read this recently as my DLA higher sister was saving and living frugrally... she's got the message now and wasn't anything near as high tbf! (schizophrenic - 2 yrs out of a long section) but means tested means just that.

This forum is a real puzzle at best of time. On one hand you have all the threads about how the new reform about tax credits is going to send families into hardship because despite being expert in budgeting, there is nothing left for them to cut that is not for essential living.
Then you get threads like this one about how you can easily afford to save when on tax credits... so which one is it?
I think it depends on how much contraband you buy. I don't drink, smoke, get tattoos or take drugs, don't go on nights out- yes I'm very boring, but my priority is bills and essentials. That makes all the difference.0
