parking appeal...

Help....

Issued with a PCN for parking half on (rear wheels) half off a single yellow line
in a residential parking area.(effective Mon-Fri 9.00 - 6.00)
Have a residential parking permit for the vehicle
however, on a Sunday evening there were no spaces on the designated bays
therefore had to park on a single yellow outside a neighbours garage. Left early for work
unable to move the offending vehicle as again there were no spaces in the designated bays
upon my return from work was met with a PCN....fuming I appealed to the council who rejected it
quoting....as soon as a vehicle stops on yellow ines it is deemed as being parked in contravention of parking regulations.....
Am I fighting a losing battle? should I cough up and shut up? HELP....

Helen, welcome to mse. You write 'I appealed to the council'.

pepipoo are the council pcn specialists.

Be prepared to scan in both sides of your pcn and that rejection[i.d. details redacted]

However, some councils do allow private parking scumpanies to feed on their territory. Was this the case for you?

Familiarise yourself with pepipoo and mse through the Newbies stickies to understand how to fight this nonsense. It won't happen with one skim read.

Learn to search effectively on both and you'll find parking events that mirror yours and pertinent, updated advice.

The answers to your final ?s are NO! and NO!
