  • oh dear, I hadn't even thought about Xmas presents until I read your post...
    :happylove
  • Come on Thistle, time to start getting organised :rotfl:

    102 days to go :xmastree:

    Dxxx
  • Funds Update
    5.21 - in purse
    98.57 - in bank
    47.00 - owed to me

So not going to end the month with money carried over, I got a bit spendy the last couple of days.

Treated myself to a 5 year diary, you input a sentence per day & I am going to use this as my weight tracker. I ordered some weightloss target stickers to put in my diary because deep down I am 5 years old & I love a sticker :rotfl:

Ordered my DH a christmas pressie yesterday so it's not all been bad!

Just had a look at my credit report on clearscore & noticed that someone has tried to get credit in my maiden name twice with a catalogue  The DOB is way out on it though so I don't get how this has made its may onto my credit score. Emailed them & equifax will have a look into it.

    On a more positive note I have some good news;

:starmod: Very account has been closed :T
:starmod: SCC has been closed :T
:starmod: SZEROCC has been closed :T

So that is a catalogue gone & 2 credit cards. I did transfer the balances from both of these cards to my barclaycard but this is the first time I have ever balance transferred & closed the old cards down.

I am so proud of myself :j:j:j

Dolly that's fabulous news re: the Very Account and the closed CC's. Have a big pat on the back! Having debts in one place just makes it seem more manageable I think...

    Also who doesn't love a good sticker???:j

Payday for me is a week tomorrow (23rd), I have £106 left in the bank, but need to buy my SIL a card and gift voucher for her birthday at the end of the month, and I'm going to start looking for nieces birthday present who will be 6 in October. Will follow your lead and aim to not pay full price for her present! I'm hoping there will be some money left over in my account to put towards clearing my debts too. There's no reason why there shouldn't be.

Oh I also want to get a couple more baby/maternity bits out of this paypacket too!
  • I know, I am super happy & have just given myself a big pat on the back.

It really does seem much more manageable when it's all in the one place. I still have some debt on another 2 CC's so little while before I am down to the one, still better than it was!

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't love stickers, they just make me happy!

You're doing good this month, even if you have a small amount left over it's better than nothing.

Think someone was saying on another thread that Smyth's have 20% off toys right now. Might be worthwhile having a look.

I have seen loads of lovely baby stuff recently, my BFF just had a wee girl 5 weeks ago so anytime I am in a shop I always have a wee look. Can go crazy though!

    :happylove
  • Aw PSL & Thistle - thanks!

Just glad that I seem to be so focused this time.

I am determined that I am not going to have this debt looming over me for much longer, also don't want the temptation of the CC's just sitting there incase.
