  • Thanks PSL.

Good news this evening, well good for me anyway.

BC offered me a 0% for the first time in ages! Managed to transfer around 1800ish over. Worked out this will save me about 500ish in interest!

    Oh yeahhhhhhhhh!!

  • I was having a wee read of monz's diary earlier & she mentioned interest charges & it got me thinking.

I totalled up my debt at the beginning of this journey & never thought of the interest but this is effectively adding to my debt each month, so I sat & worked it all out.

I have changed my signature to show the total debts with the interest & the amounts I have paid off, by jings it didn't half add quite a bit to my totals!!!

Thank god managed to switch 2 of my cards to 0%.

Will still have some interest to pay but it's going to be reduced which is making me feel a bit better.

  • That's great news about the Barclaycard. In fact, you've just prompted me to start an application for that M&S card with the long 0% offer. I'm sure I won't get enough of a limit to completely switch another CC, at least at first, but whatever I do switch, I won't be paying interest on!

You seem like you're making real head-roads into that debt! :) The interest does make such a big difference, you're right.
    Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58
    A Payment A Day - £379.02 to Egg.
  • It's like another debt added to the list when you think about it, sickens me!

But this is the last time I will need to be worrying about stuff like this ;)

  • Funds
    5.95 in purse
    192.80 in bank

Bought a subway for lunch yesterday & a meal deal out of sainsbo's today.

Had my first costa coffee of the week & it was a disappointment to say the least, knew straight away when they handed me the coffee that it felt 3-4 full. Could have said something but was on a 15 minute break & well I am British so we don't moan at the time do we :rotfl: Just know that I am off Costa now!

Booked out work Christmas night out today, everyone has been slagging me for wanting to do it this early but just aswell I did because we got the last table in the restaurant we wanted! Last time they will slag me for being organised :p

Will get through the remainder of the day without spending any money I think, straight home after work for dinner & a nice big bubble bath with my book.

Tomorrow I will be busy got to pick my mum up, take her to the bank to pay of her CC as she booked our Canada flights on that, drop her off then pick up the DH from his last day in his current job then we are out for dinner at 7pm in the city centre so will need to be ready to leave the house about 6.45pm-ish feel tired already just typing that all ;)
