    Morning all,

I'm bright and early today as I need to motivate myself to clean the house. Window cleaner is coming today as well although it is drizzling a little bit out there at the moment.

DS2 and his GF are off to Derby on Sunday to her grandparents for a week. I am having kittens about him driving that far (usual mother worries!) and have been looking for how to pay the Dartford crossing and breakdown insurance, because we sure as heck aren't driving all the way up there if he breaks down!

    ((((Hugs))))) to TA

    Have a good day :)
  • Morning (((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))0 if you need one especially Mr & Mrs TA.

Bright morning, but a cooling breeze. OH has gone down to the stables to get horse muck for the garden, we plan tp spread it on the garden that is not being cultivated and let the worms take it down. According to the neighbours, G. did not feed the soil at all, just grrew veg. We will also stack some of the manure to rot down and some will go into the compost bin, give it a bit of a gildy up.

Ironing to do, we have a dentist appointment late this afternoon, I will go to Lidl for some eggs and cooking apples. I have enough veg for the weekend and we have lettuce in the garden.

Crossing fingers and toes that you get an early date for treatment for DH. We were lucky that we got treated quickly last year even though the outcome was not what we hoped.

It is such a pity there are idiots around like the git on the bike and it is probably bad Karma for me to hope he falls off so I won't say it. ;)

DDs are taking me away for a couple of days tonight (or maybe teatime) and are determined to surprise me. I do know we are seeing eldest dd and sil near Oxford before they move up North at the end of August.

Trying to use up stuff in the fridge but might need to get some milk
later. We will need to make sure we tidy up the house in case estate agent wants to do a viewing while we are away.

    Hugs to all

Hugs to TA & Mr TA, thinking of LW & Mr LW for their hospital appointment.

The DGC loved their pony morning & haven't stopped talking about it since & DD has phoned SS to let them know they could tick another box!

Two other DGC are going next week to their turn at the pony morning, I hope they enjoy it as much as the others have.

I have a load of washing on the line & I need to cook some party food to take to slimming world tonight.

I've have booked my first party plan party & I'm really looking forward to it.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • TA I am so glad you got some positive news ((((Hugs))))

Hope all goes well today for Mr LW (((Hugs)))

Grey and overcast here but no rain thankfully so I have done every bit of washing that I can find and it is on the line, I hope it stays dry.

Tomorrow and Friday is supposed to be heavy rain all over the country and the met office reckons a month's worth will fall
Not that the met office are that accurate, I prefer Piers Corbyn's forecasts, but I can rarely afford them these days.
This year has really tested our savings with one thing after another :(
Just having lunch and then we have to go and get DH's injection done.

Good Luck with the injection for DH.

Made salad from bits and bobs in the fridge and just about to go out for milk, ice ,juice and chicken breasts to make for tonight. DD has a parcel to return so I will take that with me.

Washing is on the line and I have started sorting out clothes to take with me.

    Hugs to all.

  • Have a lovely few days away ELONA.

CANDLELIGHT so glad you mentioned As*a Opticians. I picked up my specs today, a pittance compared to the expensive B**ts ones I got and I like these so much better. In fact I am thinking of going back to order a couple more pairs so I can swap about!

I have all the lines full of washing in view of the horrendous forecast over the next couple of days! It'll be dry now but CBA going out to bring it in!

Sausages defrosting for DGDs tea. I think I'll do them with cheesy pasta, as not a mash and gravy sort of day! Bit too warm!

Enjoy the rest of the day xx

  • TA I am so pleased you are happy with the specs. I actually bought 2 pairs of varifocals and one pair of distance sunglasses. At those prices you certainly can think about ringing the changes.

I got two pairs of variofocals last year at the branch in Leeds and at those prices I don't mind going again to get another sight test done.

Just as I was about to go out a neighbour knocked on the door to see how I was so we had coffee and a chat. Dashed out for shopping and took DD's parcel back then sorted out packing and toiletries and meds etc.

Took washing off line and sorted it out so having a few minutes on here before I have to start cooking and vacing downstairs quickly.

    Hugs to all

I will, I hope he falls off into a ditch full of stinging nettles.:p

TA onwards and upwards, hon. It's progress - hope the waiting list isn't too long. x

Good news - Mr LW has been given a clean bill of health.:T He was in and out of the consulting room like a dose of salts!:D I waited with him in the end, I've completely lost my nerve for driving, so that's got to be worked on at some point.
