Sending item to Holland - Are there any couriers out there?

Basically, got asked a question on eBay if I could send a pair of shoes I'm selling on eBay to Holland.

I check Royal Mail and it seems the cost would be £10+. Are there any couriers out there who would deliver there?

By the way is it safe to send to holland? He is registered in Holland and has 19 positive feedback. I could just ask him to do a BT or send a cheque probably.

Under 2 Kg royal mail is pretty competitive, send them international signed for and if worth more than £34 take out extra insurance. A cheque from Holland is a no no as your bank would charge you about £12 to cash it and it could take weeks to clear, a bank transfer should be OK though. If they don't use paypal I usually ask them to send euros by recorded delivery, they always come in handy or you can cash them in at the post office.

He is paying via Paypal, its a verified account and looks like he has bought a few items from the UK before, main thing is he actually is registered in the Netherlands.
