Sony M4 Aqua vs Samsung A5

Looking for a new phone & think I've narrowed down my options to the M4 Aqua (16Gb version to minimise the reported space issues) or the Samsung A5
Does anyone have experience of either of these phones?
Open to other options but main criteria is decent battery life/ability to switch to a battery saver mode
Budget is max £250 (planning on buying outright)
(before the fruit lovers jump in, I really see no benefit to paying £600 for a phone!)

I have the Sony M4 Aqua. I haven't experience of the Samsung A5, so can't compare.
It's alright I suppose. Waterproof, too. Battery seems ok. Has "Stamina" mode. Mine has 8GB storage (didn't know you could get a 16GB one), though 4.03GB of that is taken up by the Android system.
Also consider it takes a Nano sim card.0 -
Consider the new Motorola Moto G 3rd gen, look at the 16GB (not the 8GB) version and it's also water resistant to 1m. Very hard to get hold of the 16gb version though, selling like hotcakes £209

thanks for your reply - I'm guessing that you wouldn't really recommend the phone then? Any good/bad points to it?
I should've mentioned, I bought the M4 Aqua, to replace the Xperia Z2 I had after dropping it a few times and the screen eventually went.
I would've like to get another Xperia Z2 but they don't make them anymore (I could have hunted around for a 2nd hand one, but I needed a phone urgently for work), and its' replacement the Xperia Z3 was a lot more.
The Xperia Z2 was a better phone than the M4, a lot faster and smoother, slightly bigger, and for some reason Waze (the sat nav app) doesn't work on the M4.
Anyway, I digress as we're not comparing the Xperia Z2, but just explaning why I said the M4 "is alright I suppose".0
