Hi Guys!!
Another week....gone!!!!
Really tring to use up items in the cupboards and frezer as we seem to have so much in that does really need using up. We are seriously considering getting rid of the huge freezer outside (I mean huge!) and just use the standard size one we have in the kitchen, as theres just the 3 of us
Here is our mealplan for this week:
Saturday-Toad In Hole, Mash & Roasted Veg
Sunday-Indian (not had a take-away in ages & DD out:D)
Monday-Chicken, Roasties, Yorkies, Swede/Carrot & Cabbage
Tuesday-Creamy Chops, Roasties & Roasted veg
Wednesday-Cod In Breadcrumbs, Mash, Carrots & Sweetcorn
Thursday-Shepherds Pie, Carrots & Peas
Friday-HM Spagbol & Salad
OH & I are having a treat on Sunday of an Indian. DD is out at friends and doesnt really like curry, so we are having one! Probably be about £15, but there will be loads left for lunch next day.
I am away from next Saturday, so if someone else could start the thread next Friday, that would be great!
What are you all having guys?
Hugs

Right I'm in. Need to stick to meal plans or close as possible or I'm going to end up loads over budget.
No particular day order as it depends what we have on, last week was only one day that was right so I think best to just forget that at least until end of hols. Then we can pick the day before what to have depending what we are doing. Alternatives in for when kids can't/won't have what we are. Meals like lasagne etc for the less busy days when I have time to prepare, fajitas for the quick and easy option. I was going to do a curry but it takes so long to prepare I'm on strike from making that until the boys are back to school.
Lunches there is oodles of soup, stuff for on toast, toasties, sandwich stuff, salad stuff etc. More cereals than I know what to
For both/all of us
Lasagne with garlic bread & veg/salad (DS1 will have chicken)
Chicken fajitas (will make popcorn chicken for kids)
Scampi, peas & chips (DS1s request)
Sausages (veg/pork) eggs, beans & chips
Turkey dinner (probably Sunday)
For me/kids when DP is at work
Fishcakes (got some fillets of haddock so will use that up) with baked potatoes/wedges
Pasta/rice with chopped up quorn/veg burgersOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Thanks Pen-pin,
I am in again, we are vegetarian here,
Saturday-Party for OH's godmother's birthday, Onion and olive tart( love this, tastes expensive but not!), new potatoes, salads, prawns for non-veg people
Sunday-Corn on the cob to start, fennel, tomato and olive gratin and rice, or may end up doing fennel cheapo risotto (ordinary long grain rice) as it is easier
Monday-Pasta with sauted carrots, garlic, lemon and cheese (again, still have a huge amount of carrots to use up)
Tuesday-Chilladas, ie lentil burgers (yummy) from Delia's complete cookery with HM spicy tomato sauce with potatoes and runner beans
Wednesday-Veg box day, so will see what is in it. Probably pasta/rice with whatever needs using most urgently, probably beans/chard etc.
Thursday-ditto
Friday-ditto
Glad to have got it planned - thanks people!

Right first time posting my plan. I tend to do a weekly plan but giggle the days around to suit. Will have to be firm this week, as I want to defrost the freezer as soon as it’s empty.
