Cancel agreement

Options
Hi All

I'm experiencing a mountain of problems with my new car,

in the space of 5 months I've had a

-window fault on both sidewhere the windows will randomly shoot back up
-dodgy drivers door that would not shut without closing it really hard ,
-clutch issues
-Door cards are creaking
-seats are starting to move on the seat rails

The manufacturer garage is unable to find the cause of the clutch problem after 4 workshop visits (noise & smell when reversing) and said to go elsewhere for a second opinion even though I said I'll get charged by another garage. They still haven't sorted the seat rail issue.

Am I within rights to cancel my pcp agreement with them? I just feel like the car is broken 😔 I can't see anything in my pcp agreement about cancelations but trading standards quoted 'Supply of goods and services act 1982 '

Can I cancel my agreement and return the car on the grounds of not fit for purpose? It's to the point that I don't feel the car had been put together securely!

The PCP is with the finance company not the retailer.

Its not really a mountain of problems though in the grand scheme of things is it?

At the moment, you've a clutch issue which the dealer cant replicate, and seat runners that you think are moving.

Why not try another dealer of the same franchise and see what they say?

I assume its a new car therefore still under manufacturers warranty?

Also ring the manufacturers customer service team, they can usually help too.

I would assume so considering the car is brand new you would not expect this many problems in such a space of time . My last car was 15 years old and in 7 years of ownership I only had to replace the exhaust and bushes, I would assume it's too many in this instance

    Which question are you answering?
Are you assuming it is still under warranty?
Is it, or is it not still under the manufacturer's warranty?

Your old car had non of the issues you have with the new car because teh original owner took it back to the dealer 20 times to rectify the niggling faults?
