PPI letter stating wrong number

I have recently tried to claim PPI on a hsbc loan, I have filled in the forms but I apparently put the wrong number on relating to the loan and put a bank account number instead.

Will they look into all my accounts or will I get a letter saying its a no to PPI as its a bank account reference they have?

Any help would be greatly recieved

I've recently filled a complaint form in and my bank said I had put the wrong loan number on even though I took it off their paperwork. They said that they cannot match it to a loan that they can see on their system so won't be investigating it.

If they have told you that they don't recognise the number you can ask them to link your account to any loans you have had but I think you will have to request this as not sure if they will do that automatically.

I had complained about 4 loans. Three they could find, the one above they couldn't and another they wrote to me about as they had linked it to my account - I hadn't complained about it but they looked into it anyway.
