ringo u got it right. i am a "generalist". I tried to specialize in malware analysis and computer forensics investigations. Didn't had time. I always had to work different thing to get money. The interview i had few days ago was malware related. I passed and now I am waiting for the appointment for a practical interview.
When i said that my english is good i meant i can have a proper conversation with an interviewer without grammar mistakes. The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear0 -
Maybe you should be looking at graduate IT jobs then, rather than hopping from contract to contract, never truly gaining a solid CV0

Good luck with the potential job. I, and many others, have our fingers crossed for you.
I wouldn't worry to much about your written English. There are so many non-English workers here now, that no-one bats an eyelid when dealing with people anymore.Never Knowingly Understood.

The fact that you can't recognize the word 'English' as a proper noun saddens me greatly.
I'd add more, but that sums it all up in my eyes.0 -
Just look at the posts before that one, there was an explanation. Maybe you will understand. I rarely use capital letters on internet/chat/forums etc (except official emails, posting an article on a blog or coding).
So... don't even add more. It wasn't even related to the topic.

You are applying for jobs - something that requires a lot of written communication.
We do not know you. Therefore we are judging based on what we see.
What we see is bad English. People are trying to help you.
Yes, this is just a forum and some slang is fine, odd typos are fine etc. However, it's not just that which is the issue and as you're trying to get help it makes sense to write as well and as clearly as possible.
Yes, there are a lot of non-English workers here, as patman said. That doesn't mean that all employers have given up caring about good English. Almost all employers want an English qualification (along with Maths and often IT).
Plus, if your English is bad on your CV/cover letter then why would any employer assume you write coding or write web content well?0 -
I was wondering if changing the city will help me. Manchaster or Liverpool ? I've heard that people are different there. Any opinions? The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear0

Unemployment is much higher up North, so there will be much more competition for work across all sectors.
I will just say this to all those who are knocking the op's English. Do you not think that any prospective employer would not notice the foriegn name on the cv and in the email communications and realise that the person may well not be from this Country ?.
Put yourself in their shoes and imagine what it must be like to up sticks and decamp to another Country where the languge is different just to be able to earn enough money to be able to live.
Op, one piece of advice for you. If you get the interview, before you attend get an English person to judge the clarity of your spoke English. I say this because where I work we have a mix of people from Italy, Poland, Latvia and Bulgaris and occassionnaly they will speak very fast when talking in English and it makes them hard to understand.
Leave a slight pause between words and you should ace any interview.Never Knowingly Understood.

I have tried doing the work that you attempted to advertise and that's what I do now but there isn't enough consistent work available to do it full time. You'll occasionally have too much work and have to decline work losing customers in the process. Customers want things fixed that day. There are services out there that have a same day response for calls logged in the morning. You can't promise that by yourself if you've already got a job lined up for the afternoon.
Oh...businesses pay a lot more than private individuals.
Keep looking and you'll find better and more consistent work.
If you're willing to relocate then do not put an address on your CV. Look throughout the country which is very easy to do online and take whatever work gives you the most disposable income after paying local rents. There is plenty of work about you just need to be in the right place at the right time and basically the person interviewing you has to like you for you to get the job.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
