There was a posting on this forum not long ago, about someone who paid for a telephone that never arrived. He contacted the police, and after about six months the vendor was arrested. So maybe they could help you as well.0

I'm having the exact same problem. (I already posted about this in another thread and someone suggested I came here) Brought two tickets for tomorrows Reading festival, paid through paypal and haven't recieved them and cos its over 60 days I'm getting no help. I can't afford to buy more tickets to go so not only am I down £178 I'm also missing out on an event I was looking forward too. Seller (geoffrey7401) ignores all my attempts to contact. I have a modile number but no address. Strangley the name paypal says payment was sent to is different to that ebay have givin me when I requested contact details. I have contacted consumer direct and am waiting for them to get back to me, if that doesn't work I will be reporting it to the police. I would be interested to know how everyone else with the problem gets on.I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0

Why anyone would buy off a seller with only 75% feedback is beyond me!0

The problem with paying with paypal is that you just end up with a PAYG mobile number and a throwaway hotmail email addy, I don't see why ebay/paypal can't give the sellers address to buyers, so at least then, if all else fails, the buyer can use the courts to get their money back. The money, Dave...0 -

Because ebay says that with paypal you'll get your money back if things go wrong...The money, Dave...0 -
So you would pay for something to be delivered in 3 months time from a seller with a poor track record just because they have paypal protection? I don't think so! A fool and his money.....0

Well excuse me! Geez, I was asking for advice not !!!!!y comments about me being a fool. I brought off someone with 75% feedback because if you bother to look its actually only two negitive feedback and I know from experience that sometimes you get negitive feedback thats not your fault. Also I'd contacted the seller and got a response at that point so excuse me for making a wrong descision I came on here for advice not some uppity know it all judging me.I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0

This forum is a bit biased towards ebay and paypal, if you're too critical of ebay your posts may be removed.
In cases like yours ebay is digging it's own grave by not assisting you get your funds back, as time goes on more and more people will decide to never use ebay again after being scammed and then not helped by ebay. The money, Dave...0 -
Why should ebay have to bail people out all the time? The seller broke the rules and the buyer fell for it. As has been said before ebay is a venue, if you were sold a duff item at a car boot would you complain to the organiser? As for advice just be more careful next time, there is nothing you can do about it unless you pursue the seller through the courts.
I haven't notices any posts removed due to criticism of ebay or paypal!?0
