Expiration of contributions-based JSA

I am currently claiming contributions-based Job Seeker's Allowance, and I am ineligible for income-based JSA.
My question is: what happens when my contributions-based JSA runs out? Will I no longer be expected to sign on?

You will get a form shortly before.
You will then not qualify for income-based JSA, but can continue to sign on and complete activities as normal, and will have NI credits paid.
Some rules are slackened for people in this position.0 -
Thanks Roger.
One final question: if I am receiving NI credits and no other benefits, will I still be liable to being "sanctioned"?0 -

No you will still get NI credits. Even sanctioned claimants still get NI credits. All you really have to do is demonstrate you're looking for work and sign on every 2 weeks. You don't have to do anything else.
You might want to consider becoming self employed and paying Class 2 contributions yourself which are £2.80 a week. It may or may not be cheaper than the bus ticket to the jobcentre.
You could pay voluntary Class 3 contributions which are £14.10 a week which doesn't require you to either look for work or be self employed.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
