Autoglass damaged my car

Of course not - and I never said it did.
But what it most certainly DOES mean is that...probably have far more experience in replacing windscreens than a car dealership would and their employees are probably better trained in this job.
...is deeply questionable at best.
Why, in your opinion is that statement "deeply questionable"?
Do you disagree with the point that employees of Autoglass and other similar companies would replace windscreens far more often than employees of car dealerships?
I don't know about the training, but I would certainly think that they have had far more experience.
Also, why did you then respond to my first post with the comment:"<wipes tear of laughter away>"? When you admit that you have only had a poor experience from having a windscreen replaced once?
Does this really give you ample first hand knowledge of the whole industry?0 -
If they can come to your home to inspect it, then they can just as easily do the same at your place of work. Tell them where it is and what days/hours it will be available, should be plenty of opportunity. Give them a reasonable amount of time but also pointing out that if they do not endeavour to progress the situation in a reasonable time you will get it repaired at a repairer of your choice and seek the costs via the small claims court.0

A claims company would not supply a credit hire vehicle in these circumstances. The Insurer would laugh if you threatened them with this
It is not the insurer at this point from what i gather but the glass company itself, i maybe wrong.
They maybe thinking settle without the insurance as it maybe below their excess anyway or they want to limit the number of claims.
I think its worth mentioning.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Autoglass will also laugh.

If you ignore the fact that the OP's car has minor scratching so it's still drive able so the only possible opportunity of a hire vehicle will be the day or so it's having the cosmetic work done.
It's a consumer issue that should be dealt with by the Autoglass or the vehicle insurers for whom Autoglass are acting as an agent. The Road Traffic Act does not apply, it's Autoglasses Public Liability that would cover this or more likely coming out of their own coffers. A claims management company / credit hire company would not normally get involved where there's no liability under the RTA.
The best approach would not be to go in making threats that have no meaning but to go in politely but firmly.0
