Holiday to Dubai

Options
I have been quoted the following prices for a trip to Dubai in early December this year.

Kuoni: 5 nights at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel on a B&B basis with flights and transfers for 2 adults £2392

Virgin: The same deal £2382

I know that this is not a cheap hotel to stay in and not a cheap place to go but I've never paid this much before either with a package or booking seperate flights and accom. Can anyone out there help me find this at a bit more of a sensible price????

Thanks alot.

  • This seems a ridiculous price. Have you looked at booking the flights and hotel separately?

  • Hi,

I may be able to give you some advice.

We went 2 Dubai a couple of years ago and I spent several months researching the whole thing & finding out which hotels were away from all the building work & getting the best prices etc. I booked the flights and hotels separately & we paid approx £2500 altogether but that was for flights (KLM from Newcastle) and for 7 nights at the Mina A Salam hotel (next door to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel) and then 1 night at the Burj Al Arab! They also arranged for someone to meet us before passport control, help with the luggage & transport us back to the hotel.
So I would definately have a look at booking everything seperately.

We booked our flights via "Trailfinders" and the accommodation through "Apex Holidays." (www.apexholidays.co.uk)

I would suggest having a look on the Dubai forum on the trip advisor website (www.tripadvisor.com) as this has loads of useful info. There are always posts about finding the best hotel prices etc.

I would also suggest that you go onto the Jumeirah website (www.jumeirah.com) and sign up for the Sirius reward/loyalty card as you can collect loyalty points at all of their hotels whenever you stay or dine there & then redeem them for meals or overnight stays or vouchers etc.

Dubai is the most amazing place you will have a fab time!

    Hope this helps

That isnt so crazy a price. The Jumeirah Beach hotel is regularly as much as £300/£400 per room per night.
At ave 95% occupancy in Jumeirah Beach prices have went up considerably in the last few years. We paid £2300 2 years ago for the Sheraton at Easter for a sea view balcony room. This Easter it would be £3K inc flights

I did a comparison search on My SITE for 5 Dec to 10 Dec for Jumeirah Beach hotel, and Asia rooms come up with the best price at £1165, however a Balcony (not all have them!!) and Ocean View it jumps up to £1759 (for 2)
