Can anyone suggest a good 4* hotel in Madrid City Centre close to attractions. Any suggestions on what and where to visit on a weekend to Madrid will also be appreciated.

There are some free downloadable guides for Madrid, Barcelona and others at http://maribelsguides.com/.

Also some walking tours on Frommers.

I forgot in my previous post - if you are there on a Sunday then a trip to El Rastro market is highly recommended.
