Hi....
Does anyone know if I can take the medication Norethisterone (it delays you menstrual cycle) in my hand luggage with Easyjet without a letter from the doctor?
I have emailed easy jet to ask them.
It wil labelled in the correct box from the pharmacy and it's not a controlled drug.
Thanks for any help that can be offered.x

Any medicine that isn't a controlled substance and is under 100ml if a liquid can be taken on board without a doctors note, this is only excluded if it is an epi-pen etc.0

Assuming its in tablet (powder) form then you can if travelling within Europe. If its a liquid tablet then it just needs to go into the liquids bag. If its an injection then again in the liquids bag unless its in a prefilled syringe in which case you may have an issue with the needle depending on its length.
If you are going outside of the EU there wont be problems of taking it on the plane but you may have an issue taking it into the other country depending on their view of the drug.0 -
It's tablets and it's fine. I wouldn't even query it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I have flown many times with Easyjet and have always had prescription tablets in my hand luggage. I have never had a problem. Won't put them in my case for obvious reasons though i am more relaxed about it on the way home if i know that I have more there.0 -
Katejo......have they ever asked you for a doctor's note?0

Easyjet, like any airline, have no knowledge of, or interest in, the contents of their passengers' bags.
Airport security are responsible for checking for anything potentially dangerous that passengers are carrying, which includes liquids/gels but not tablets.
Customs officials at the destination country, if they happen to examine your bags, may question the presence of medicines. But this is highly unlikely in Europe and if you are going to a middle eastern destination you could have a doctor's note just to be sure.
Otherwise, I think you need to stop worrying about this, and have a gold trip!Evolution, not revolution0 -
OP you do not need a doctor's note - a doctors note is for controlled drugs such as morphine, the pam family (Temezapam, diazepam etc), sharps such as insulin pens and other intramuscular injections but not usually EpiPens.
Norethisterone is a OTC (over the counter) drug, you can buy it at the airport pharmacy. You don't need a doctors note, just keep it in the original box. Its like paracetemol, that's an over the counter drug, you don't need anything but the drug in the box.0 -

In this country, the OP has stated where they are going or do you have global knowledge of every countries policy towards this drug?
Diazepam is a drug you can just walk into a pharmacy and buy (same as almost everything else short of methadone) when we are back visiting the Mrs' family. Just because its an OTC medicine there doesnt mean you can buy a suitcase load and take it to anywhere else in the world0 -
