REISS poor quality, refusing refund

Hello everyone,

Less than 2 months ago I purchased a REISS blazer for £200. I was very happy with it until I happened to wear it in a light rain. When I got home I saw that the jacket now has water marks and is no longer wearable.

I am currently speaking to REISS customer services, explaining that I expected from such an expensive item to last me a lot longer than 2 months! I have expected high quality of fabric. Their response is that it is not manufacture fault and they are refusing to help.

What are my rights here? Shouldn't an item of clothing last for a reasonable time according to consumer rights act?

Best regards,
Dasha Finch

A blazer would not be classed as rainproof .

Have you tried brushing the fabric with a soft brush? Or having it cleaned?

What is the fibre content and the type of fabric? What are the cleaning instructions?

Silk and silk-look fabrics watermark very easily, though marks usually go once the item is cleaned.
