I don't really think £67.29 is that much of a great deal for the 200gig Maxtor ..
I have just bought (it arrived first thing this morning by Amtrak) a Samsung Spinpoint 200GB (8 meg cache also) for a total of £68.56 including VAT and postage from SavaStore. From the reviews I've read, the new Spinpoints are one of the best drives around, and without a doubt the quietest solution currently available. They're branded as Silent. I can barely hear the drive, I can only tell it is on by sticking my ear right on it. (My old WD was previously the noisiest component in the system, hence why it was replaced..[The system is now virtually inaudible thanks to watercooling:)])
No disrespect to the Maxtor though, because I have not read any reviews on it.
I am just saying there are many more (and IMO better) similarly spec'd HDs available for a very similar price.

Yeah the Samsungs are nice drives, cool and quiet. SVP.co.uk do them (200GB) for ~£64 plus postage, which is 99p on their offer weekends that occurs every month or so.0
