    just got a 200gb WesternDigital HD for £70 from my local computer place - thought that was a good deal - so this one is even better!

    I'll only buy western digital, maxtors have given me probs, my 160GB maxtor only lasted 1 and a half years!, the other 2 have lasted longer however they havent been reliable.

    Why not send the drive back to maxtor, they are pretty good on replacing drives, only cost you £5-£6 postage back to Ireland. I have had drives replaced over 2 years as they did replace them after the 2 years providing they had them in stock. You can even give card details for new drive, then send you a replacement, and providng you do send the faukty one back they wont bill you and saves some time.

    Seems to be £66.55 inc vat at ebuyer so a little bit more, tho then there is postage to take into consideration, and if ebuyer is free shipping then it'd even it up. But I dunno about their postage costs tbh
