Garages that accept AMEX

Don't suppose anyone knows of a nationwide (or Leicester based) garage that would accept AMEX for doing a service and MOT.

My car is in deperate need of repair but I can't find anywhere that will take my AMEX card to cover the cost of the MOT, service and additional repairs.

I have a Amex card and its not accepted at a large number of locations ( you just can't rely on it) you really need a visa or MasterCard as a back up if you really want to use the Amex for its benefits.

I'm sure they'll work with any make of car. Only trouble is that as a main dealer they are not going to be the cheapest.

I believe that KwikFit used to accept Amex, so if you can find one that does servicing (many only do exhausts, brakes and tyres) that might fit the bill.

I would have though Ford main agents would.

My reasoning is they give Nectar points and the Nectar credit card partner is Amex

But I may be making a false connection.

Halfords accept American Express and they do so called servicing.
I wouldn't let them any where near my car I'd rather walk the eighty miles to work each day.

I read on the places that accept amex thread that Allen Ford UK don't accept amex. Think my local ford garage may be sandicliffe so might be worth checking it out but i've heard they're a bit of a rip off!
