  • Did you format it before you put things on it? Depending on what operating systems you're using (assuming you're sharing the files between computers) it may need to be in a certain format to show the files on all computers.
  • I have never had to format a pen drive, but the computer I looked for the files on is the same one I used to load them onto the pen drive.

Sometimes it behaves erratically unless you format it prior to putting the files on it. (I don't know why, I assume it's the hardware equivalent of "turn it off and on again"). So it might be worth trying format -> put files on -> check for files again.
  • I will try that but some of the files I no longer have.
I did check they had copied ok initally and they had, but then !!!!!!!

DS is conked out in bed and I have just switched our internet provider.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Great news with all the switching! Hope ds is better?
I am also one who moved jobs with nothing. In fact I left work one day we all piled into my clio and I didn't bring as much as a notepad with me. I left filing cabinets full of resources, as well as the eletronic stuff and I really didn't miss them. You'll be fine although I understand its frustrating as you had planned it so well.
