smallholding: Considering both yourself and husband work full time (at least I think you do), where is he when your doing a lot of the above? I remember someone saying to me if I go into teaching Mrs K would need to be on board to do more at home. I thought that person was right but that Mrs K wouldn't do it. Something to consider.

Know how you feel SHS. I was up at 5.30, left after sorting out tea (sausage casserole and roast potatoes on oven timer) at 6.20, work for 7. Left at 3pm (usually later but Tuesdays I have to leave at 3) home by 3.40. Sorted washing, dish washer, dished up and all ate / pots sorted and out by 5. Music lesson 5.30-7.30, nip to gym in turns, get 45 mins exactly each. Fetched shop from asda and item from Tesco both on click and collect. Then home, unpack shopping, quick shower. Sat down 9pm and relaxxxxxx...

To be honest, none of this sounds particularly healthy, smallholding. I used to be somebody that did 12+ hour work days for a while and it really harmed my health, looking back both mentally and physically. Now, I don't think it something people should be doing day in, day out. I also think people need to have hobbies and interests outside of work and family commitments.
Really not trying to preach and only saying this because I don't want anyone else to end up in the situation I was in a few years back. Please, do take care.2018 totals:

Dare I say stop chasing the £££s? At no point have I told anyone to 'give up work' but I do think work should be something that fits around your life. Smallholding has said she no longer has any time to play her clarinet and saxophone, if this is something she wants to do, she should have time to do it.
Work ought not take over anyone's life to the extent one has no time for things they enjoy. Of course, if it is work that gives the most enjoyment then it's fine to indulge.2018 totals:
