I’m with you on the ‘shove it in the freezer’ malarkey. Also loving your fiscal fast. Not sure I can do that as we are eating out twice in the next few days but that comes out of ‘entertainment’ pot. Otherwise I’m with you on the fast too :T

Thanks Tilly. Nice to see you.
I don't imagine you have overspent as badly as us.0 -

Even when you say you’re planning on being frugal I think it goes to pot. We had to stay in the U.K. for Christmas due to family visiting us from other countries and I swear we would have spent far less in Portugal even taking flights into consideration.

Morning! Planning a trip to nearby market town today so DS can poke around in the recycle shop.
Plops is having a rare night indoors since it is cooollld.0 -
Would have been day 6 of fiscal fast but some money spent so will re set it to day 1.
£5 on 6 books and 3 DVDs. Also bought milk, bread, batteries DH razors and some diet coke.
I had to have a tantrum in Tesco to get them to replace DH's mobile which was only a few weeks old.0 -
Good morning! Day 1 of second fiscal fast. Woken at 6 by Puppylove becoming airborne briefly before crash landing on...me. Girl wants her breakfast.
Today I hope to put together the second bookcase in our bedroom (pretty sure we are not rushing it, it has been there since August).0 -
Puppylove sounds like she is a very good communicator. Was the tantrum secretly quite liberating?Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Yes, I am on MFP. Looking to kickstart that in the new year, are you as well?
Good luck with the bookcase. I'm the same, if it's not done in a couple of days it'll probably still be there in 6 months.0 -
Oh yes Floppy!
Michelle Smallholdingsister if you can find me?
Flat pack DONE! We can see our bedroom floor!0 -
Ooh, the flatpacking didn't take long once you started!
Good for you for tantrumming at Tesco - though its appalling that you needed to. What with acid for Christmas lunch, they really sound like they're going downhill.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
