  • Thanks Earthie. Going for my MR I scan today.
  • Scan was OK. Very LOUD. We have an estate agent coming today to tell us where we are going wrong.
  • Operation tidy up is about to begin. Surely we can do it in eight person hours?

Glad scan done with. Be interested to hear what estate agent says. Have a hunch that with houses that are 'different' ie not just a 2 up 2 down terrace or 'new style' that it is just a matter of waiting but I may be wrong. I base my hunch on having seen friends sell theirs - the beautiful but large and old 5 bedroom house took nearly 3 years to sell with very few viewings, the 2.5 bedroom semi that was identical to the whole estate sold in 2 weeks.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Estate agent says drop price 5k, take it off the market and re-market it in January.

And will you? Or does part of you rebel at being told what to do...?

  • Part of me normally does! I have already.
Turns out this agent is a Mum of someone in DD2's class. Not that it means anything about her agent skills.

Boy to football this morning and Pony Plops getting jabbed this afternoon.
  • Very glad about MRI scan OK. Was thinking about that while we were away, along the lines of 'wonder if SHS has had that done yet.... And how did it go...?'
Sounds like a busy half term, do enjoy every minute. X
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Thanks Squirrel. Currently watching football training for 5 year olds arranged by the FA. Astronomy meets football, brilliant!
  • Glad scan went ok.

A colleague of mine had a right game selling his lovely house - ended up dropping the price and re-marketing it to sell.

I really don't know what are wrong with people - I so much prefer a character house than a new 'box' (personal opinion - nothing wrong with them - just not to my taste).

If people are looking to move to where you are, should they expect houses like yours? or are there some new builds too?

Hope the rest of half term goes smoothly - 'try' to get at least 5 minutes to yourself...
