  • I'm not sure...
  • Seems like a catch 22. Good thing I don't care whether I sell on ebay or not.

Have they paid or was it cash on collection? I've 'sold' a cooker twice on ebay now and no-one has pitched up to pay and take it away - it's very irritating!

  • It is irritating. They have paid but the thing is the size of a Robin Reliant.

Lots of horror stories on here about ebay refunding collectors EVEN WHEN SELLER HAS A PHOTO OF THEM COLLECTING IT!
  • DH is being very cool about the fact that he has just gained £400 per month in overtime.

Will be about £1200 off the mortgage.

I had a collection only item (granite worktop) on ebay which the buyer paid Payp@l for. Was really worried as it was a brand new account (that day) with no feedback but figured I wanted shot so if I got a chargeback and lost the money I was no worse off; waited for weeks in case of any issues but never heard a thing. Luck of the draw I guess.

Outstanding, love seeing how OPs affect the mortgage!
  • You're right that most people are still normal and reasonable. The bay does seem to attrac5 scammers though.
  • Did the buyer show up in the end?
