Hi all,
Basically I've been charged for parking in my underground car park in my building
The first time about a month ago (because it changed from not needing a permit to needing one) overnight without warning and the second because I accidentally parked in the wrong bay in the parking lot.
Didnt follow complaints procedure either two times, I know im in the right and have ignored both. No follow up letters, even spoke to the Parking Officer who issued the second ticket, he apologised to me after I told him someone was in my bay so I couldn't park in my original spot, he advised me to ring up and get it cancelled or Ill be taken to court eventually, I dont know whether to ring up or just ignore it.. Any help would be appreciated.
Its just sitting on my mind thats all.
Thanks, Craig

Never phone them, they are only interested in your money and will lie to you.
Write in with a formal appeal (see the newbies thread) for each ticket. They'll probably reject it and refuse any further appeals because you're "too late" to appeal.
Though you should only appeal when you get a written invoice in the post (Notice To Keeper) which should arrive after a month. Have you received either of them yet?0 -
Nothing in the post yet, just hoping nothing comes. My first ticket was issued on 20/06 and I totally ignored it. Dont really want to have any corrispondance with these leeches. The thing it, if I was in the wrong I would pay them.0

Did any of the paperwork mention v.a.t.? If not they may be trying to evade this tax. You can embarrass them by asking for a v.a.t. compliant invoice, more information

England/Wales or Scotland? Your car or a company/leased car?Je suis Charlie.0

VCS are with the BPA so it's easy to beat this scam, but the location of the event is important. In England or Wales you appeal, and in Scotland or Norn Iron you ignore. Don't get that bit wrong.
If it's a hire/lease car you appeal early as keeper, otherwise appeal about day 21 after the windscreen notice , or near the appeal deadline if you receive a notice to keeper.
Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES. If it's your own car and you live in England or Wales then appeal using the template exactly as it is. Don't edit it, and don't reveal who was driving, ever.
As above, never ever 'phone a parking scumpany.
edit, crossed posts so you need to start reading the NEWBIES thread then wait for the NTK then appeal. This should arrive between day 29 and day 56, but the NEWBIES thread explains all this.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

If you rent the property, check your lease/rental agreement to see if it mentions anything about parking permits. Is the property run by a management association? That's where you should be concentrating your attack whilst you wait for the NTK.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
