    Good morning
Sorry to hear about your husbands job happydays, sounds like you are preparing well.
I made a loaf in the breadmaker yesterday and the teenagers have devoured it! I've put another one in this morning. It's ages since I made bread but is something I'm hoping to keep up now I'm getting my old ways back.
I'm shopping today but have made a list. DH and I are visiting a different farm shop tomorrow. We did use one quite regularly but on the last few visits it didn't have what we needed so we drifted back to the supermarket. The farm shop we are visiting tomorrow has been recommended.
Today will consist of shopping, cleaning and ironing. I'm actually looking forward to getting organised.

Nothing exciting today -I cleaned the bathroom and tried to used up all the odd cleaning bottles with tiny bits left in, the cleaning cupboard is overflowing with the same items? Going to run it down and just stock up on the stuff I like to use.

Chilli out the freezer for tea tonight and I have hm soup to portion up and freeze.

Got to get DD's school shoes at the weekend so trying not to spend too much, but that's her all done, I got her uniform all in when m&s had the 20% off on, it's more expensive then the sm uniforms but it lasts a whole year and looks washes well, and i got her a beautiful thick winter coat from a ne*t outlet store so just shoes to go.

Going to start putting some change aside this week too for breakfast club subs and milk money.

Hope everyone is having a good day xx

    Good morning,

I am all alone with mum this weekend, DH has gone to a reunion of his uni people, when the dinosaurs walked the earth LOL, so I needed to think what to do that she might like, and I decided to take her to the Imperial War Museum to see the Fashion on the Ration exhibition, she likes fashion and was a young girl during WW2 so will be very interested.

Tonight hard work, got to water the allotment by myself, no hosepipe, just back and forth with the heavy watering cans. Ah well, good exercise!

I need to reduce and clean up my eating, too much carb at the moment and not enough veg, so I really need to rethink the menus, for evening meals at least. Also, shopping time with £6 off £40 voucher from sainsbugs.

    Have a good day!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Good morning Caterina and all who follow.
I've also got the sainsbugs voucher so a trip there this week, I'll plan carefully and make a list. Off to try out the new farm shop today, I'm looking forward to it - the little things in life!
We are having homemade pizza for tea. I'm going to make the bases with spelt, I've found a few recipes but need to decide which one to use.
The homemade bread is going down a treat with the teenagers, they've stopped moaning about the absence of crisps, no complaints about biscuits because I'm baking them. They are struggling with, but getting better, with my no fizzy pop (which I only bought every now and again) or squash rule. They all drink water and milk so there really is no need for it. We have had a busy summer so far, I'm enjoying pottering around at home. I will need to go into work (school) next week. Then I'm planning a couple of days cooking for the freezer, time is in short supply during term time.
Have fun at the museum Caterina, I'm sure your mum will love it.

Hello. I struggle to keep up with long threads, although I'm retired I have lots to do. I don't really like routine, I'm a sort of spontaneous person, a little bit of this and that, dip in here and there, then flit off somewhere else. I forget what people have said and have to keep scrolling back, all down to so much going on in my head. That's the downside of hurtling towards old age.

I did an Aldidly shop on Thursday. I go there because they have a few things I like, and it's near town so I can go to the bank at the same time. Mostly I get the same stuff, bananas, must be 8 in the pack, plain yogurt, eggs, cheese, fresh fruit and veg. I bought 8 cartons of soya milk because it is cheaper than Tes&co.

Another vet visit yesterday, another test so more to pay. Need to find out whats best for my kitty.

Crikey, I've just run over my toes with my wheely office chair, really ought to wear slippers, ouch.

    Have a nice weekend.

Polly thank you, my mum loved the museum and I did too!

Ilona, I wouldn't worry too much about remembering who said what, I am enjoying reading other people posts but am not going to rack my brains to give individual responses, it is just too much (and partly contributed to my stopping posting for a while, it was getting too complicated on top of my other pills and issues).

As I understand, there is no obligation, so I think it is ok to just read and move on, or reply to someone's post, or just say your bit and leave it at that. Am I right?

    Good night all!

The farm shop was good, a bit of a drive but probably worth it. It was very busy but we didn't have to queue long to be served. The butcher was friendly as was the lady on the till.
We bought speciality sausages, steak mince, chicken breasts and bacon. Also picked up homemade coleslaw and eggs.
I kept away from the pies and cakes but they looked delicious.
The pizza was delicious, we will definitely be having spelt pizza bases from now on. In the end I adapted the recipe that I use for the breadmaker.
It feels good to be getting my old style ways back.
    Have a lovely evening.
