Rain here today, but the garden will be glad of it, and my water barrels are running on empty again. Had a few bits of washing to do so it iis on the airer in the utility room at the moment.

DH had a doctor's appointment and has to go back on Wednesday to have a steroid injection into the joint, glad it is him not me, I had one in the knee once and nearly went through the roof.

Then we went for a nice quiet lunch in a country pub.

When we got home there was a message from work and he ended up having to go in, I am fuming because it is the first day of his holiday:mad:

He is pottering about at the moment doing a few bits and pieces, and staying out of my hair

Stuffed marrow tonight with a chicken chilli style filling using the left overs from Sunday dinner and a freebie marrow from our neighbour I have costed it out to a zero cost meal because I already have everything in the cupboards to make it :j

Afternoon All
We have just had a short sharp rain shower, freshening things up. It has been a nice weekend, not over hot but pleasantly warm.
Been to check out the site for the caravan rally we are running next week, and no problems there. Off out for dinner to check out a possible place to take them all to, any excuse!

Not a lot of OS going on, must try harder.

I know this is a cheek because I rarely post her now - RL is too routine for words in a good way...

Was just wondering if you can eat Radish leaves - Our poor garden is all but abandoned this year, but did sow some radish and the green bit is lush looking, but would rather not poison anyone

Hugs to those who need - Dumpling hope it's not too blunt, but put family issues in the 'f@ck it Bucket' and like me be thankful for those who choose to be part of my life xx

A lovely cycle down town and back to post my first claim in years for council tax benefit, due to my lower earnings from self employment.
I was entitled previously when my DS was here but didn't bother as they wanted all sorts of paperwork. They appear to have improved their systems somewhat, less evidence required now, it would seem.

I really have to be careful this month as work is very quiet until my new contract gets going, so I used a £10 shopping voucher at Wilko's along with a £2.50 coupon to get £12's worth of shopping for zilch.

I made sure to pick up their special offers when looking for things I needed - Surf 25 wash for £2.25, 4 pack of Regina 3 ply toilet roll for 95p, plus the feminine hygiene products I had the coupon for, which happily, were also on special offer.
Normally I use vouchers for things for the house or birthday presents but this month is different.

Next on the list is seeing what food shopping I can get at M & S with my £20 competition win gift card.

I'm wondering if shopping later in the day might be a better bet, to try and get some reductions. Do any of you ever pick up reductions at M&S or is this a forlorn hope?
I have some recently published books to drop off at the library, trying to declutter a little bit more.
