Help with mortage when non dependant relative is also unemployed?

Talking to them in the hope they'll agree to accept interest only for the time being, rather than interest and repayment. There's no way I/we can make the repayments part each month as well. I can't see them agreeing to take less than the interest, and if they did that would still leave me crippled when I get another job (don't expect to be able to earn enough to be able to cover debts as well as ongoing payments).

You need to talk urgently to a debt advice charity like Step change or national Debtline about your finances.

Just noticed that you are in Tyldesley OP. They are taking on at a distribution center on the Industrial estate in Westhoughton so both you and son may want to try there.

Thanks. Done a bit of digging and not finding anything on-line - but I don't know the area so may be missing something obvious that someone in the know would search for. Son actually has an interview tomorrow evening (fingers crossed).
