MOTOBILITY CAR TAX Vs PRIVATE CAR TAX

I have a car which is tax exempt because I get higher rate mobility on PIP. I have been offered a car on motobility and they have said they will pay the tax as part of the scheme. My question is: does this mean I can keep the tax exemption on my existing car which is used by my husband to drive me around. The motobility car will be used by me and adapted for me to drive. I do not drive my existing car.

blondebubbles - thank you thats what I thought but when I rang motobility they said because my husband was using it to drive me around and the motobility car was being taxed it would still apply ( I cannot drive for long periods). I didn't think it sounded right when she said it. I think I will contact the DVLA.0

See just below the black box on this page http://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-exemption0

According to this website ---> Disabled Motoring... it would appear that you can only have one vehicle taxed in the Disabled Class at any time
I might of course, be interpreting it incorrectly

Is it possible to choose which car is tax exempt?. If so you could pay to tax the cheapest.

"If you live in Great Britain or Northern Ireland we will then arrange for your car to be taxed each year throughout your lease (unless you have chose to pay tax privately)."0
