Hi All,
My mother has received a demand for payment of £160 from Debt Recovery Plus for a supposed PCN from January 2013 and then a "Notice of intended court action" two weeks later.
Is there not a time limit on when they can send a demand for payment? We have no idea if this is legitimate as it was so long ago.
These guys are members of the IPC and BPA.
The thought of having to waste my time sorting this out is already $%^%&*! me off!
Any advice would really be appreciated,
Thanks!

DRP are debt collectors and should be ignored. However all paperwork should be kept safe and come back if you receive court papers.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

well , would you like to tell us the name of the parking Co that have decided to chase you after all this time ,,,,,,,,, not the name of the debt collecting Co.
normally a parking Co is only a member of one trade association , with regards to getting your info and providing an appeal system , and a lot have quit the BPA to join the kangaroo club (IPC) ,
please tell us the name of the parking Co , and try to be a bit more accurate on the date of this horrific offence0 -
As above, we need the name of the parking company and the timeline of events.
Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page as well as it will answer a lot of your questions for you.
Vigorously ignore debt collectors.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
The letters say the "creditor" is Vehicle Control Services Ltd.
Location- Valley Centertainment, Sheffield
Parking Charge Date - 30/01/2013
My mother has no recollection of receiving a ticket at that time, but it could have been someone else from the family driving her car.
We haven't to my knowledge received any prior notices.
At the bottom of the letter from DRP they have the logos from IPC and BPA.
I haven't gone through the sticky for Newbies yet as I thought there might be some time limit on this kind of thing that would mean I didn't need to go into it. Surely they can't just send something out of the blue years later??0 -

yup they can chase an unpaid Debt for 6 yrs in England and 5 in scootland
at the time of the incident , VCS were members of the BPA , but as they were loosing all there appeals they joined the IPC , who promised a 80% win rate on appeals , DP+/PCS are registered with the BPA as debt collectors0
