No Kaspersky on Windows 10!

I've just upgraded to Windows 10 on my PC but as I was running Kaspersky internet security on Windows 8.1 it now seems to have reverted to Windows defender and no sign of KIS. Is there any way of switching it back on or do I have to reinstall it?

IMHO, unless you make a point of surfing to pr0n/warez/F1 streaming sites, the built-in Windows 10 security is fine.0

KIS 2015 doesn't play quite nice with Win 10
Mine transferred ok but caused a problem with pinning & unpinning. On the US site, there's a patched version of 2015 and also 2016, both of which are fully compatible so download from there as no updates as yet are available on co.uk.

When you say transferred, I assume yours was already installed when you updated to windows I've looked all over for KIS but I can't find it. Surely I won't have to download it again as the licence is for one user and I'm assuming that one user will be for windows 8.1 and so I've exhausted my users for windows 10.0 -
Yes it was already installed as I'd forgotten to uninstall it before going to Win 10. I've then uninstalled 2015 and reinstalled 2016 using the same licence without problems.
It should work out that it's the same computer when you enter your licence number. Worst case and it doesn't, it turns into a 30 days free trial which gives you plenty of time to contact them and have them reset your activation

Works fine on Win 10 with version 16 from Kaspersky forum .
Personally i would not touch win defender with a bargepole as it always comes way down the bottom in av tests .
Might be improved with 10 though .0 -
Have not taken the plunge to upgrade to windows 10 yet from 8.1
I have a question? Do you have to disable or uninstall your anti virus before you do? I am with TalkTalk and use Super Safe boost which I would like to continue using ...I do not want to use Defender which I understand Windows 10 will download at the time? How do you get around this ? Cheers.0 -
Defender gets automatically turned off when another anti virus is running.
Check first that the Super Safe thing is fully compatible with 10, you may need to install a newer version anyway. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0
