Want to download just the latest pics from my camera card but photo gallery only wants to download all from the card. I cant find a setting to stop this, help.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Can you not simply copy/move what you want using Windows Explorer - like for any files?0

As grumbler says, Windows Explorer (or File Explorer in Win 8 and I'm guessing probably Win 10) is the easiest option, and the one that I've used for the past 10 years or so since first buying a digital camera. But if you really must use "photo gallery" we can't really help unless you tell us what camera and/or software you are using.0

Downloading from the 32gig card into photo gallery. Pressing import brings up the message "there are X pics to download" then proceeds to download all of them including duplicates to those already on there.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Was this supposed to "tell us what camera and/or software you are using"?peter_the_piper wrote: »Downloading from the 32gig card into photo gallery. Your 'gallery' is just a folder with files=pictures that you can open with Windows/File Explorer (Win+E). You can even see the pictures in the folders by selecting medium/large/extra large icons in "Change your view" dropdown menu at the top.
So can you open the folder(s) in your camera connected to the PC (or a SD card), normally DCIM.
The easiest way is to have two windows side by side with two folders you want opened, then drag&drop the files from one folder to another.0 -
Anyway thanks for the comments, problem is solved. Once the program has downloaded the pics from the disc it (presumably) marks the pics on the disc and does not download them again. Any new pics are detected and downloaded if wanted.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
