Green screen on aced laptop please help

I brought a new acre laptop, only had it a week. I was watching a film last night when it just stopped and could do nothing, I shut it down and re-started it comes up with date and time and tries to log me in but then says it's locked ? I then just get a green screen. I am not very techi minded so any help would be most grateful. It's an acer. Aspire E15 windows 8.1 thank you very much you Angels x x

Dumb question how do I a hard re set on here, I know I am dumb but I only had this thing a week I don't know where things are on it or what keys to press. Thank you grumbled very much x x

If you mean my post that I deleted, I misunderstood first that it was a tablet, not a laptop.
Don't know how to hard reset a laptop, and I think you need to post more accurate information first.

From what I can gather it's a fault and I have to take it back as only had it a week but yes I think I said laptop not ipad.. I know how to do that on there :rotfl: thank you for trying to help me :beer:

update: they stuck a pin in base of laptop and its now working again and back to normal ? .. please do not try this at home unless your sure you know what you are doing :rotfl:
