Change & Save Will Writers Bolton Lancs

Hi

Not sure whether this is the correct place or not.

I have had a couple of calls from a company calling themselves Change & Save - offering a Will Writing Service.

I am TPS registered so I should not have had these calls and am in the process of complaining to TPS. When I googled the phone number that called me I found a lot of other TPS registered people saying they were also called.

Has anyone heard about this - they seemed genuine and polite on the phone so I dont think they are dishonest - but its still a bit worrying.

Never buy from a cold caller.

Do your research if you want a particular product and if they come out top, good and well, otherwise run away.
  • What is TPS?
  • My wife and I have recently got our wills done... we went on google and typed in Money Saving Expert Wills. On its guide page titled "Cheap and free wills" MSE listed a law firm in Cambridge (not allowed to name companies or firms) but its wills department is called Expert Wills. They are open at the weekends which suited us as we're still both working (we have to keep working because we lost a fortune from our pension, but that's another story), and are offering half price wills over the phone, so we snapped up their offer... and pleasingly their service was excellent!

I agree with torbrex... do your research... so if you do decide to get your wills or update your wills it's always best to get them from someone who specialises and who is highly recommended.

Not too difficult to find out: What is TPS?
  • Is it something to do with STEP? Society of Trusts and Estate Planners.
  • no TPS is The Telephone Preference Service - if you are registered with them then its now against the law for someone to cold call you in the UK saleswise
