Chrome cast extension on smart phone

I have a Samsung Galaxy note2. I also have a Chromecast "dongle" I have no problems casting YouTube and Netflix from my phone. I have tried to install the Chromecast extension to the Chrome browser I have on the phone. This would allow me to mirror web pages on to my TV. However there seams no way to add this extension. When I try to do it (ie search for the extension and download) it asks if I want to send a reminder to install the extension on my desktop computer. But NOT install it on the Chrome browser on the phone.
I can not find anywhere where it says the extension will not work on a smart phone. I have found it says it will not install on an iPad. That I can understand.
Help and advise please

you need the chromecast app not extension"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Thank you dipsomaniac.
Sometimes I have to learn things more than once. I actually have the app. Silly me.
The app connects very easily however I now have a slight delay on speech.
I have tried it with film on for BBC1 and also a web site France2.fr where you can watch that French channel. Both cast well with full screen on the TV. Perhaps a little loss of picture quality but the big problem is the very small delay on sound. This makes it almost unwatchable as everyone's lips are out of sync.
Do you think this is my Samsung GT-N7100 (note2) which is well over two years old. It is running Android 4.4.2.

if you want to cast BBC, download the iplayer app, and you can cast from within it directly to the chrome cast, mirroring the screen is different to casting a programme to the chromecast, you wont get the sound delay doing that0

as cornish said best to download the bbc iplayer and cast from there. the iplayer will probably also ask you to download the bbc media player.
don't know if you can do the same with france2 if they have a app"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
might be worth updating to the note 3 as it's 4g ready and also just been updated with the latest software android 5"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
