Photos disappearing from Samsung Galaxy S111

Hi. Photos are saved in my phone's internal memory but have disappeared! I've not deleted them and other pics such as Facebook ones are still there. After googling. I've seen that other people have experienced this problem, too. Lots of fee paying software is recommended, but wondered if anyone can recommend any particular software, free or as cheap as possible, to retrieve form internal memory. Many thanks .

Not sure what a S111 is but if its the S3 then try Recuva free.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I think Recuva will only recover from sd cards etc and not the phone's internal storage. Would be very happy if I've read this wrong though!

In that case search the forum for near identical posts as the subject comes up at least once a month .

Recuva, but the freebie version. Also today's freebie on Give Away of the Day might suit. Link below, but it's only up to 8-o-clock Monday. Different freebie each day.

I have the S3, got mine in December 2013 and I've not had or heard of the disappearing picture issue. I do have everything backed up to Dropbox which came free for a year and then I switched emails and got it for another year (I use Dropbox to get pictures onto my computer because my computer doesn't seem to react to images on my phone).

I actually get the opposite problem to you which is due to Dropbox where as I take a picture, it gets saved to my Dropbox file when I connect to Wifi. If I delete anything, it remains on my Dropbox file and then re-installs itself to my handset...so I delete it but then it re-downloads again...I delete from Dropbox but as it's on my phone it sends itself back again to the Dropbox file...in the end I just make sure I delete everything before using Wifi. Maybe if you are worried about losing more, try Dropbox, your unlikely to get a chance to lose anything!

Thanks for your reply Jenniewb.Yes, I was unaware of this problem too, until I googled it and found out that other people had experienced the same problem. Fortunately some of the photos had synced to my computer, but not since April it seems! The advice re Dropbox is much appreciated xx
