Interviewing after job terminated

I was dismissed after 9 months at my last job during an extended notice period (no need to go into details here, but it was despite strong performance, and rather due to communication, improper review, lack of assistance, ... and there is also a high staff turnover in the company).
If at the interview I would say that the job was terminated due to restructuring or redundancy, could they find out this was not the case if they only get a factual reference? If they ask the employer, they should only get a factual reference (and I do have a personal reference in addition).
When somebody is dismissed because of redundancy or restructuring, will this normally be mentioned in a factual reference? Or do they get a letter explaining this? Is there usually any kind of proof which shows that the dismissal was due to redundancy?
Thanks.

When I was asked to leave a previous small employer, I submitted their details to a (medium big) new employer, just telling myself truths needed, free reign for the small employer I thought! but nope I never heard a dickie bird and this was pretty recent.
Likewise, an employer who made me redundant less 2 years ago I understand has long since stopped replying to any reference requests so I am glad I have kept the letter supplied when I was given notice, neither has this stopped me working, if this helps the point.0 -

The answer is exactly the same as it was on 2nd August when you last asked exactly the same question. The reason for termination was dismissal, and that is a fact, so it may be mentioned in a reference.0 -
I left one firm on not so good terms, and when I emailed them some years later, to check on vetting status, I got a curt reply with date started / ended, and 'we cannot disclose any further info, due to DPA'..

I work for a large insurance company and we are very explicit when someone has left due to redundancy. All redundant employees everywhere would also receive a letter stating redundancy.
