Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can help. I have an LG LCD TV but the sound doesn't get very loud. Once it gets to about 20 the numbers go up but the sound doesn't get any different.
I know 20 is fairly loud but as I have a living room kitchen when cooking, boiling the kettle or using the washing machine I cannot hear anything.
I have checked to see if Eco-more is on but it doesn't make any difference.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

Plug the TV into an amp and speaker system.
Exact model of TV ?

No offence but the older you get (or a life of loud music) the harder it becomes to distinguish a sound over background noise, been for a hearing test ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
I would start with a factory reset .0

Model number is 42CS460.
Am amp/speaker was my next idea I just thought I'd see if I could fix it without spending the cash on one. I have a Bose for my IPod but that has no other audio input so I'd need a Sony or something.
I understand what you mean about sounds merging. It's definitely the TV though as everyone says it. I've tried a factory reset still no louder. I wondered if they built it in to reduce energy or something.Arctic Monkeys :j0 -
I found the sound on my new LG very poor - reluctantly added a cheapish soundbar and improved greatly0
