All the accounts paying 3, 4 or 5% are current accounts requiring the specified monthly funding. However this is easy to achieve by transferring the required amount out to another account then transferring it back in again.0 -

My brain is fried trying to figure out how to gain interest from a joint current account, a joint savings account and my own savings! Thanks
Not really. If you have for insistence £2000 in the account, unless you found it every month with an external funding ( not from account within the same bank) , you will not get any interest that month.
It is usually a term of condition for the account.
The best way I find to fund the accounts is to pick a period that coincidences the funding dates of all accounts and then bounce it in and back or bounce it back out to the next one.The more I live, the more I learn.

I see you are not a real Money Saving Expert.
Go to the top banner and click the 'Banking and Saving' section. The account details are the first section visible in the left column.
They are all there. They are also usually highlighted in the weekly email from time to time as well. The more I live, the more I learn.

There are a couple, yes, but one wouldn't be worth it, and with the other you'd need to be able to make use of the other benefits (and have a fairly low savings pot).ValiantSaint wrote: »Sorry to hijack this thread. Why don't you say how much you've got now (between you) and what you'll be adding each month and I'm sure suggestions will follow. My brain is fried trying to figure out how to gain interest from a joint current account, a joint savings account and my own savings! Thanks

I think they can all be left dormant. You just won't get any interest that month or for tesco would have to pay a fee.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
